Nine Minutes
Until a new day. My wife awakes in a little more than five hours, and I with her, perhaps I'll make it out of bved this time. I feel like such a sloth when I don't.
Speaking of sloths, I have a bit of a fascination with them, especially the giant ground sloths of prehistory. They were bigger than a polar bear, and by what we can guess, they also had a similarly slow metabolism as their three-toed relatives. It's also been supposed that avacados evolved the way they did so that their seeds could germinate after being passed through the digestive system of a giant ground sloth or something like it.
Memebers of the edentes family, they are also related to armadillos and the now extinct glyptodon; which was a giant heavily armored version of the armadillo.
The early age of mammals are quite an interesting time, th BBC made a series based on recreating ecosystems of different times on earth. I'll look it up and post it here and have a hyperlink to it from this post as well.
This won't be for awhile, I only have two more weeks left in school and I'm hustling to get things done.
When I was younger I had taken tai chi becasue I heard that once you learned how to use it correctly, it was actually one of the better martial arts available to use in a fight. That was only partially true. I learned how to practice slowly in order to move faster. It also taught me how to be slow and deliberate. Something I desperately need sometimes.
